The 50 mile Green Chain Walk is one of London's key recreational walks linking together open spaces.

The walks intersect with other strategic walks so you might like to link up with some of them.

There are cafes and toilets along the way at many places and many historic sites to visit such as Eltham Palace and the ruins of Lesnes Abbey. There is public transport along the way if you want to break off at any time.

The readers are Joanna Welsh and Daniel Davis, presenters on South London Radio, who were recorded at the radio studios and in Daniel's flat, accompanied by Simon the cat. You may recognise the voice of John Challis in the Welcome, well known as Boycie in only Fools and Horses.
